CGT Director & Guide
Mike started Cotswold Ghost Tours in 2014 following a request for a talk on ghosts of Prestbury. Following this, various requests for ghost walks started to pour in and things took off from there! Mike is a qualified Blue Badge tourist guide for the south west of England (Institute of Tourist Guiding, Level 4) and has worked in travel and tourism since 1990. He has a passion for the history of the Cotswolds region, and is especially fascinated with medieval ecclesiastical history, which has specifically fed his research into Prestbury’s famous ghosts!
Lindsey is the ideal guide for your ghost tour - entertaining and informative in equal measure! Lindsey has been illuminating groups and travellers since 2004 but she loves not having to travel too far to share juicy stories and fascinating history- which are plentiful in the Cotswolds. When Lindsey is not guiding she regularly performs improvisational theatre in Bristol and around the UK, and one of the troupes she works with improvises the cosmic horror stories of HP Lovecraft, so she is very adept at bringing creepy tales to life!
The Southwest is steeped in myth and legend and it was her love of the area that inspired Cheryl to become a Blue Badge Guide in 2010. She is particularly fascinated with historical tales of murder and mayhem, and where you get murder and mayhem there are ghost stories just waiting to be told.
The Cotswold villages may seem sleepy and peaceful but Cheryl is just dying to let you in on the darker secrets of the area and she aims to set your hair on end with her ghostly tales!
Ian has worked in tourism for over 30 years and has been a Blue Badge tourist guide since 1993. He specialises in offbeat tours of offbeat places both well known and unknown and has undertaken specialist ghost walks all over the country. “Surprising things” he tells us “often happen in surprising places; and the Cotswolds have plenty of those!”
Dyanne is a local who, as a child, used to cycle from Cheltenham to Prestbury to see her friends, so she has heard many of the region's ghost stories first-hand. She grew up thinking that ghosts were a normal part of life until she discovered that not everybody lived in a haunted house! She is also a performer, drama teacher and writer, and has worked as a tour guide at the Colosseum in Rome.
We’ve been all over the world but we have never had a guide like Lindsey. She brought history to life, she inspired our kids, she made us laugh, she made us think, she made us see things in a different way. I cannot recommend her highly enough.Kim WoodsLondon, Ontario
Mike was really friendly and welcoming and I loved that we could pay online. The tour was well organised and the local stories & legends were great. His passion for storytelling and detailed research shone through… we’ll definitely be going on the next ghost walk with Mike. Thank you!Sally WBath, UK

Great way to spend an evening. We did the Prestbury walk in the summer and the Cheltenham one was equally enjoyable! Highly recommended.CoralCheltenham, UK
Took my friend from Australia and my son and his friend. It was a really enjoyable evening. Lindsey was a great guide combining storytelling, humour and conversational pauses to dramatic effect. Highly recommended!Helen BUK
